Happy new year, Elsewhere Fans!
It’s only appropriate that this post, on this glorious New Year’s Eve, is dedicated to promoting my latest article on Matador Network – How people party in Los Angeles (and why you can’t hang). It’s a deep investigative piece on the sociopolitical undercurrents that run through the hotbed of decadent addiction and anti-law that is the Los Angeles party scene. Ha, just kidding. It’s a list of stereotypes and places to party. If you’re in the city for this New Year’s Eve, check it out and find some awesome places to ring in the New Year.
While we’re on the topic, remember to preorder “101 Places to Get Fucked Up Before You Die.” It’s being released on January 7th by Matador. I contributed several chapters to the publication, marking it as my first official widely-published work as a travel writer. Given my past, I think the subject matter is appropriate, but I can’t help thinking my parents thought this would go differently. Again, it’s being released January 7th, so check it out.
Lemme know what you’re doing for New Years!
